In a nutshell:
I, Scott Alvord, have been blessed in many ways that I do not deserve. I am a man of deep faith but I don't force my beliefs on others and I respect those with differing beliefs. I believe my journey has been the result of struggles, service, and amazing blessings just because I raised my hand to help.
As a young man, I met the perfect partner in life. She and I dated through college, got married, and together, we have raised a huge family (birth and adoption). We grew up quickly under that responsibility.
My adult life has been mostly focused on serving my family, the neighborhoods, and the business community. I served on the Roseville City Council from 2016 until I termed out in 2024. My past service includes 9 years as the president of Downtown Roseville Merchants, Inc., numerous boards and commissions, and coaching youth sports. I'm currently the president of two cool 501c3 nonprofits and serve on a few others. I was blessed to be well educated as I earned an MBA degree and a BS in Computer Science. I have been married since 1986 to Karen. We raised seven children into adulthood, and we are currently blessed with fourteen grandchildren.

Civic Service (Elected Office)
I was elected and re-elected to City Council for eight years before terming out of office. This resulted in serving on numerous city, county, and regional boards and commissions in a large variety of subject areas. Honestly, I was surprised to see how many there were over the years!
Community Service
"You are not here merely to make a living..." My adult life has always focused on serving others. From being the president or chair of some incredible boards to creating a huge volunteer force during the pandemic, to coaching youth sports, it has been a joy helping make the world a better place.
Awards & Recognition
After decades of serving, I have received some interesting awards and recognition. They don't define me, but I do hope my family is proud of my service and remembers a few of these after I'm gone.
